Liverpool make transfer stance on Divock Origi clear
Liverpool will not sell Divock Origi this summer after the striker proved his worth last season, according to ESPN FC.
Despite only having one year remaining on his current deal, Jurgen Klopp has decided to keep the Belgian at Anfield for the 2019/20 season after he scored several vital goals in the last campaign.
Talks are underway between Origi’s representatives and the club, with a new deal on the table that would see the 24-year-old extend his stay beyond next year, if agreed.

As in the case of Virgil van Dijk’s contract negotiations, Liverpool and Origi are content to take their time working out the terms of a new deal, as Origi himself has a positive relationship with both Michael Edwards and FSG president Mike Gordon.
The Reds paid Lille £10million for Origi in 2014 and have already recouped over half of that fee in loan payments from Wolfsburg.
The club will have until January 2020 to convince the forward to pen a new contract, after which point he’ll be free to agree terms with another team.
