Liverpool odds-on favourites to sign Bruno Fernandes

The odds of Liverpool signing Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes this summer have been slashed today after a flurry of bets, according to the Echo.

Betting prices fell from 7/4 to 1/9 today as the likelihood of Fernandes making the Switch to Anfield this summer increased.

The Reds are now favourites to sign the 24-year-old, who is currently on holiday following his involvement in the Nations League.

The midfielder scored 23 goals in 41 games last season as he helped fire Sporting to a third-placed finish in the Primeira Liga.

The club value him at £70million, a figure that Manchester United are reportedly unwilling to meet.

Today’s edition of Jornal de Noticias also added more fuel to the fire today by claiming a source has told them: “The approach [from Liverpool] came last week and could bear fruit in the near future.”

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly content with his midfield options ahead of next season, but rumours of Fernandes’ potential transfer to Liverpool continue to endure.
