Liverpool receive encouragement in reported Timo Werner pursuit

Liverpool have been given some encouragement in their reported pursuit of striker Timo Werner, according to Inside Futbol.
The RB Leipzig forward has long been linked with a switch to Anfield, despite the fact that Jurgen Klopp reportedly prefers handing Rhian Brewster a first-team chance rather than signing a new striker.
Bayern Munich had been tipped as the favourites to sign Werner, but according to German media today, the Bavarian side have cooled their interest.

Leipzig and Bayern are some way apart in their valuation of the 23-year-old, with Bayern wishing to spend no more than £20million on a player Leipzig value at £50million.
And now, it’s being suggested that Werner will remain at his current club next season rather than make the switch within the Bundesliga.
If talks have indeed broken down, Jurgen Klopp may change his stance on his forward options and move for a striker who bagged 19 goals last season.
