Rumour Mongering: Liverpool Consider Tranmere Loan for Young Left Back

Tranmere Rovers are said to want to bring in Adam Lewis on loan before the end of the month.
For Premier League and Championship clubs, the transfer window slammed shut before the 2019-20 season kicked off earlier in August, but for much of Europe it remains open through the end of the month—and much of Europe includes lower-league English sides.
As such, outgoing deals can still be done, and today there’s a rumour that League One side Tranmere, located just across the River Mersey in Birkenhead, could be set to sign Liverpool 19-year-old left back and wide midfielder Adam Lewis for the season on loan.
Lewis was a regular for the U23s last season and isn’t believed to be in the first team picture this season, and according to Football Insider, Jürgen Klopp and the Reds are weighing up whether some regular lower league football would be better for his development.
Though Lewis spent most of last season plying his trade at left back with the U23s, during pre-season he made most of his appearances with the senior squad playing further up the pitch to make room for another youngster, the 18-year-old Yasser Larouci.
Larouci is expected to stay with the club this season, to be given regular minutes with the U23s and perhaps see some first team action, likely in the domestic cups. That may make it more likely for the club to agree a loan for Lewis before the end of the month.
