Rumour Mongering: Clubs in China and USA Interested in Lallana

The England international will likely be looking for minutes somewhere and apparently both China and the USA are interested.
Adam Lallana made his first Premier League start since March this weekend in Liverpool’s mindboggling 2-1 victory against Aston Villa. Lallana didn’t exactly make a difference during the game (“anonymous” doesn’t feel like an uncharitable description of his performance), and with minutes harder and harder to come by, it make sense that he and his agent would be looking for a club that will give him the game time he needs once his contract with Liverpool is up at the end of this season.
Whether that time is going to come at another Premier League team or abroad in the Chinese Super League or Major League Soccer in the US remains to be seen. That said, Liverpool seem ready to discuss a contract extension if Lallana is amenable (and all this might just be a bid to get Liverpool to offer him a better salary and a promise of more playing time).
“I don’t know exactly what will happen in May, for anybody by the way, but the best thing a footballer can do when you have the opportunity is play well and that’s what Adam is doing,” Klopp said when asked about Lallana’s future.
“[His performance against Aston Villa] is the second time in a row, when he came on against [Manchester] United he was good.
“After a long time he had with some injuries here and there, he is in outstanding shape physically. That’s the most important thing for a career and all the rest, we will see.”
