Flamengo boss makes huge call in regards to Jordan Henderson

Flamengo boss Jorge Jesus believes that Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is the best midfielder in the world.

Henderson was the captain of the Liverpool side that defeated Flamengo 1-0 last month in the FIFA Club World Cup final.

The tournament, which took place in Qatar, was taken very seriously by Jurgen Klopp’s side. With that being the case, Jesus saw Liverpool’s regulars first-hand, including Henderson, who he believes is the best midfielder in the world.

“Henderson is the best midfielder in the world in his position,” Jesus said on CMTV .

“[Jurgen Klopp] never sacks him, but the two offensive midfielders, [Naby] Keita and [Georginio] Wijnaldum, sometimes are replaced. The others players are always the same.”

Henderson has improved as the years have gone by at Anfield. The midfielder first arrived at Liverpool back in 2011, but it was certainly a tough beginning for the Englishman.

Even as he has dramatically improved as the years have gone by, Henderson has struggled to win some of the Anfield faithful over. He is by no means a superstar, but he is much better than what people give him credit for.

He is the captain of a side which possesses big names, but he is able to manage them all superbly. He is not the best in the world as Jesus is suggesting, but he is seriously underrated.
