Gary Lineker provides verdict on Liverpool’s victory over Sheffield United

England legend Gary Lineker was left very impressed with how Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool performed against Chris Widler’s Sheffield United last night.

The Reds were 2-0 victors against the Blades at Anfield thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane. Liverpool are 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a game in hand.

Klopp’s side have only dropped points in one fixture in the Premier League this season, which was the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford back in October.

Lineker posted the following on social media after Liverpool’s victory over the Blades.

Lineker has often given the Reds praise on social media after a victory this season. He does raise a fair point in regards to the lead Liverpool have accumulated.

Many expected Manchester City to be going toe-to-toe with Liverpool this season. However, the Reds have been ruthless and the Citizens have not.

Leicester City are currently Liverpool’s closest challengers, as they possess a one-point lead over Manchester City. Liverpool are in a superb position to claim a maiden Premier League title this season.
