Former Red comments on both Jurgen Klopp and Brendan Rodgers

Former Red Lazar Markovic has praised both Jurgen Klopp and Brendan Rodgers, claiming that they are both top managers.

Markovic, who signed for Liverpool from Benfica in 2014 for a fee of £20 million, had the opportunity to play under both Klopp and Rodgers during his time at the club.

Markovic failed to make an impact at Anfield, but he could still appreciate just how good both Klopp and Rodgers were at their jobs.

“Both are top coaches, you can see with Brendan at Leicester and you can see with Jurgen he is something special”, Markovic told beIN Sports.

Rodgers does receive quite a fair bit of criticism from Liverpool supporters, but regardless of how his time at Anfield ended, he has proved himself to be a very good manager at Leicester City, as Markovic has stated. However, Klopp is on another level.

It would be easy for Markovic to sit back and be bitter about his time at Liverpool, but it is clear that he is not.

It is a shame it never worked out for Markovic, as he did have talent. However, for whatever reason, he simply could not find any consistency in his game at Liverpool.
