The young Liverpool loanee has had a strong December, scoring three goals while providing an additional two assists

Another game, another goal contribution for young Harvey Elliott. This time, it was a fairly humdrum assist for Elliott against Sheffield Wednesday. He provided a simple pass to Joe Rothwell 40 yards from goal before the midfielder went on a winding run into the box, finishing from 12 yards out. While it didn’t have the pizzazz of some of Elliott’s other contributions, it still counts for the stats.

The 17 year old has had himself quite a December. He now has three goals and two assists in seven games for the month with one game left to go. Having played the full 90 minutes in every game this month, that’s good for a goal or assist every 126 minutes.

For the season, Elliott is on four goals and five assists in the Championship, good for a goal or assist every 147 minutes, with several games played deeper in midfield. The youngster has been putting up impressive statistics in pretty much every department. He’s averaging 2.3 key passes AND dribbles per 90 minutes. Despite being just 17 years old, Elliott has become a focal point of the Blackburn Rovers attack. He is consistently seeing the highest number of touches of all attacking players by a good margin, being sought out to take advantage of his creativity, vision, and passing range.
