Thiago Returns To Training Following Lengthy Injury Layoff
Thiago is nearing his return to give Jurgen Klopp a massive boost.
Where is Thiago?
That is the question many Liverpool supporters have asked of the summer signing following a bafflingly extended injury layoff. The 29-year-old wowed the Anfield faithful with a match and a half of tantalizing midfield magic before a knee injury sustained following a tackle by Everton’s Richarlison in October’s Merseyside derby knocked him out of action.
The club has been fairly close-lipped throughout the midfielder’s recovery process since, sparking rumors that his history with serious knee injuries could mean the knock was more severe than had been assumed.
Anxiety levels spiked further as the ex-Bayern Munich man was spotted watching his side’s recent league win over Wolves in street clothes alone in the director’s box while fellow injured teammates Virgil Van Dijk and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain took in the game from the bench.
However with the most recent update putting the FIFPRo awardee on track to return in the new year, fears were eased further as Thiago was spotted in training this week.

Defender Joel Matip was also spotted in training after missing Wednesday’s top-of-the-table win over Tottenham with a back complaint. The Cameroonian center half is in contention to play in the trip to Crystal Palace at the weekend.
