Is it serious? Who knows!

Curtis Jones was not included in the squad for the England U21 match against Slovenia on Thursday.

Knowing Liverpool’s luck, it would be an injury as that is what tends to happen on international breaks, but the details are still unclear as to when it happened and what type of knock it is.

Jones was expected to start for the Young Lions after his impressive league campaign so far with Liverpool, so the news that he’s been left out through injury concerns is surprising.

Of course, this early in the day it could mean anything, or nothing at all. No one has said anything otherwise about the injury, and so it does not look to be super serious.

Maybe he’s just tired from bossing it in the midfield so often, and who could blame him. He scored in the 3-3 draw against Brentford two weeks ago and has been continuously one of the best players in Red whenever called upon - a small bright spot in the midfield against Manchester City on Sunday, too.

At any rate, we all hope for the best when it comes to young CuJo, as he’s clearly shown he has talent and determination in spades and we here at TLO Towers would like to protect him at all costs. Especially with other favorite child Harvey Elliott out for a while, it would be a shame to lose Jones as well.
