The star right back has been training with teammates this week and is expected to be available to start.

After missing four of Liverpool’s last five games due to injury, star right back Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to be ready to start against Watford on Saturday after taking part in full training with his teammates this week.

The 23-year-old Academy product has missed games against Crystal Palace and Manchester City in the Premier League, FC Porto in the Champions League, and Norwich in the League Cup due to a groin injury.

As a result, manager Jürgen Klopp has been forced to rely on James Milner, Joe Gomez, and Conor Bradley to fill in for him—though it’s likely Bradley always would have been the player chosen for England’s second cup competition.

His return against Norwich will provide a boost, but it’s one that will be balanced by the absence of Alisson and Fabinho, Liverpool’s two Brazilian starts who were called up for international duty this month.

With Brazil’s final game set for late Thursday night in Brazil—and early Friday morning, UK time—against Uruguay and the match against Watford the early Saturday kickoff, the duo aren’t expected to be able to take part.

Diogo Jota is also a doubt after the Portuguese was sent home by his country due to a knock he carried into the break, though with Roberto Firmino available there should be no pressure on Jota to play if he’s not fit.
