If Trent Alexander-Arnold is to move from Liverpool to Real Madrid, it most likely will not be in the upcoming January transfer window.

Of the three most pressing contract concerns, including Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s is probably the most concerning, due to his age and connection to the city and club.

Unfortunately, with each passing day, we get closer to the January transfer window, where any of the above players can sign a pre-contract with clubs outside of the UK. Once again, Trent is the most pressing concern, due to the transfer interest from Real Madrid. However, it does not seem like the Spanish Giant will look to force the issue with an early transfer in January, at least not according to manager Carlo Ancelotti.

“We have Lucas Vazquez, we trust him. Then there’s Eder Militao. I see him well as a right back, yes.

“I have not asked for new signings in January as last year we managed the situation well.

“Signing a player who will be good for Real Madrid is not easy. At the moment we are not thinking about it.”

New Liverpool manager Arne Slot was also asked about the situation(s), and gave the most Dutch answer possible.

“Same question, same answer, there will always be talks and it is normal that you asked.”

So. No news yet on this ongoing saga.
