Official: New Date Set for Postponed Everton vs. Liverpool Match
Liverpool’s pre-Christmas meeting with their local rivals was postponed due to weather and has now been set for February 12th.
Liverpool’s delayed pre-Christmas meeting with local rivals Everton, a game that had been set to take place at Goodison Park on December the 7th only to see inclement weather force its postponement, has officially been rearranged as of today.
The two sides will now meet on Wednesday, February 12th, with a scheduled evening kickoff at 7:30PM GMT and the game slotted in between the Reds’ fourth round FA Cup tie against Plymouth on February 8th and a league match against Wolves on the 16th.
The date means the rearranged fixture will still take place at Goodison, with Everton’s new stadium getting its first test event—a U18 match capped at 10k—just a few days later on the 17th of February and the first Premier League game not yet scheduled.
Everton, who recently sacked Sean Dyche and will bring back David Moyes to try to salvage their season, currently sit 16th in the league and just a point clear of both Wolves in 17th and Ipswich in the relegation places at 18th as the trio fight for survival.new
