Klopp Sends Congratulations to Liverpool for Premier League Title Win

Jürgen Klopp did his best to set Liverpool up for success following his departure—and it was key to the Reds winning their 20th league title.
When Jürgen Klopp stepped away from Liverpool football club, the legendary manager believed he was doing so in a way that best set the club up for future success following a rebuild of the squad’s midfield.
Few, though, could have imagined Arne Slot arriving in his first season and winning the Premier League, a 20th domestic league title that sees the Reds climb back up on their perch as the most successful club in English football history.
Even the most optimistic Liverpool fans didn’t start out the season expecting a title push, but in the end they got that and more as a strong existing squad and Slot’s tweaks to it proved the perfect match.
And given Klopp had gone out of his way to make the transition to Slot as smooth and successful as possible, it probably shouldn’t surprise anyone the former manager was keeping just as close an eye on how things developed as the fans.
“Super grateful for the past, super happy about the present, extremely positive about the future!” was Klopp’s reaction on social media following Sunday’s title-clinching victory with four league games still to play.
The Liverpool legend kept it short and sweet, signing off with a congrats and you’ll never walk alone for his former players and the manager he’d handed them off to, and he’s likely not the only one feeling positive about what the future might hold.
With the league wrapped up, Liverpool’s final month of the season will be a chance for Slot’s Reds to take a victory lap, starting with Chelsea on Sunday before they face Arsenal, Brighton, and finally Crystal Palace.
