The fullback is back training with teammates ahead of the weekend’s match against Leicester City.

Trent Alexander-Arnold seems fated to join Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of the season, but the 26-year-old is on track to at least see the pitch again for Liverpool before he moves on in search of some paella and a Ballon d’Or in the summer.

The right back suffered an ankle injury against Paris Saint-Germain last month, and at the time there were some concerns he might be touch-and-go to return to action before the end of the season, raising the possibility he had already played his last game for his boyhood club.

Having begun solo training over the past week or so, though, today he made a return to full training with his teammates, making it a near certainty he will feature again for the Reds before the season is over—and likely his time at the club along with it.

In other Liverpool injury news, Darwin Nuñez has been in training this week after missing out against West Ham over the weekend due to illness, leaving Joe Gomez as the only first team regular missing from training for Arne Slot’s side as they march towards league title number twenty.

Liverpool face Leicester City this Sunday and then play Tottenham the following week knowing any combination of six points gained by them and dropped by top chasers Arsenal will mathematically secure Liverpool the 2024-25 Premier League title.
