Jurgen Klopp states that Liverpool forward is frustrated

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has stated that Liverpool forward Xherdan Shaqiri is frustrated with his latest injury setback, as it means he is missing out on precious minutes on the pitch.
Shaqiri, who made the move from Stoke City to Liverpool for a fee of £13 million in the summer of 2018, has very much been a squad player at Anfield.
There have been times when Shaqiri has been superb for the Reds, but he has struggled to get the minutes on the pitch that he would like.
The Swiss international has only managed to play 174 minutes across all competitions for the Reds this season. What has not helped is that he recently picked up an injury, which Klopp stated was “frustrating” for the winger.
Klopp told the club’s official website regarding Shaqiri’s injury: “Yes, it’s not cool, absolutely not cool. But maybe there are different reasons, for sure. Shaq is a very special player in different departments.
“It’s never ‘big’ [injury] so far, but it was always enough to get him out. I can imagine that’s frustrating. It’s frustrating for him, it’s not cool for us.”

Klopp is correct. It would be frustrating for Shaqiri. He is a very good footballer, but the reality is, the likes of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah are all better.
Even when he is fit, it is unlikely that he will feature throughout a match. One would not be surprised if he left Anfield come the end of the season.
