Klopp’s Agent Shoots Down La Liga Management Rumors

ANTHOLZ-ANTERSELVA, ITALY - FEBRUARY 17: Juergen Klopp, Former football player and manager and current Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull GmbH, rings the bell to indicate the final lap in the Men's 4 x 7.5km Biathlon Relay on day eleven of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic games at Anterselva Biathlon Arena on February 17, 2026 in Antholz-Anterselva, Italy. Ever since Jurgen Klopp decided to end his time at Liverpool—and quite possibly his coaching career—he was always going to be linked with jobs from the biggest clubs in Europe. Were he available, he would be the top choice of any club on the planet in search of a new manager. And even a fair few that were not actively in search of a new manager.

However, Kloppo seems to be very happy in his quasi semi-retirmement, or whatever the fuck his actual position is with Red Bull. He’s so happy, in fact, that whenever he’s linked to a new management position, he seems to go out of his way to appear on social media within 24 hours at a random sporting event, like when he randomly showed up at the Winter Olympics as a celebrity bell-ringer.

Good work if you can get it.

Well, I guess there wasn’t some obscure sporting event to show up at to ring a figurative “fuck off, Real Madrid” bell, so he just had his agent do it instead.

“Jurgen Klopp is very happy with his current role at Red Bull, and what is being said about negotiations to coach Real Madrid are just rumours for now,” his agent Marc Kosicke said.

He also dismissed any rumors about him returning to the sidelines as a national team manager.

“There’s no need to answer questions about things that are just rumours. Nobody has contacted us at this time.”

Translation: Kloppo would very much like to continue drinking on the beach and occasionally showing up at random sporting events, living his best life, and not getting stressed out by the daily goings on in the wider football world. And Red Bull are currently paying him handsomely to live his best life. Also, and this part is very important: fuck off, Real Madrid.
