Celtic ready to swoop for Harry Wilson

Celtic are preparing to offer Harry Wilson an opportunity for the upcoming season with a loan spell, according to The Daily Mail.

Wilson will sign a new deal at Liverpool before completing his loan move away with Celtic. Brendan Rodgers wants Wilson loaned out to Celtic before Thursday’s initial Champions League signing deadline.

Celtic have reportedly pitched why they believe Wilson should join them.

Hull City have been heavily linked with Wilson as he has already had a loan spell with the club, but it is being reported that Wilson will more than likely choose Celtic.

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet which still leaves Wilson’s future up in the air for the time being.

Despite the news today, Wilson did say on Tuesday that he has plans to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s thoughts with the upcoming pre-season with Liverpool.

“It’s great to be back,” Wilson told Liverpool’s official club website.  .

“I enjoyed my loan spell but I’ve been looking forward to it all summer, coming back in and getting started again, starting the hard work.

“Last year I was desperate to make an impact in pre-season but I picked up a little injury and that stopped me doing so. With the loan spell behind me, I’ve got a lot of confidence and belief that this season can be my season.

“I went out and got the minutes I needed, scored a few goals and helped Hull climb the table a bit. I really enjoyed that. Now I’m focusing on doing well in pre-season and hopefully getting into this team.”
