No further talks between Liverpool and Lyon have occurred regarding Nabil Fekir

Despite earlier reports suggesting otherwise, no further talks have taken place between Liverpool and Lyon regarding a potential transfer for Nabil Fekir.

Paul Joyce from The Times has made it clear that the Reds are not at the stage of renegotiating terms with Lyon for Fekir.

Fekir was almost a Liverpool player when a deal was agreed with Lyon for an initial fee of £48.4million in June, but everything came to a halt when Liverpool’s medical staff had concerns over the Frenchman’s knees.

Fekir still wants the move to Liverpool, but it remains unclear at this stage whether Liverpool will go back in for the French international.

One does get the feeling though that Jurgen Klopp will look elsewhere as it appears too much of a risk to sign Fekir at a lucrative fee with fears surrounding his fitness.

Manchester United have been linked with Fekir.
