Dortmund and Liverpool in Origi talks

Borussia Dortmund are keen to take Divock Origi on loan with a view to a permanent move and have opened discussions with Liverpool, ESPNFC report.
Dortmund are in the market for a striker after they failed to resign Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea and they missed out on Barcelona’s Paco Alcacer.
It is understood that the out-of-favour Origi, who spent last season at Wolfsburg, is now their top target.
Throughout the summer, Liverpool have maintained that the Belgian is for sale, but he will only leave if their asking price – believed to be around £27million – is met.

ESPNFC, though, claim that Dortmund are confident they can reach a compromise with a Reds given that Origi is clearly not part of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans.
The Bundesliga outfit may pursue a loan deal which would include an option to buy, for a suitable price, next summer.
Origi was keen to prove himself to Klopp when he returned for pre-season training, but he was outshone by a resurgent Daniel Sturridge, who will instead serve as Roberto Firmino’s deputy.
