Jurgen Klopp hails Alisson’s performance against Brighton

Jurgen Klopp was pleased with what he saw from his new goalkeeper in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday at Anfield.

Alisson was impressive making some big saves and showing his class with his feet, and Klopp believes Liverpool may have found the final piece of the jigsaw since the Brazilian’s arrival.

When asked if Alisson was the last piece of the jigsaw for his side, Klopp told BT Sport: “Looks like it!

“He’s a massive signing for us, we knew that before. It gives him confidence, of course. A few people thought around set-pieces, because he’s Brazilian and comes from Italy, he’s not used to it, but he leads the line and I like that and that’s why we got him in.”

Loris Karius’ departure to Besiktas on loan was announced shortly after Liverpool went top of the Premier League table, which leaves Simon Mignolet as Klopp’s second goalkeeping option for the season.
