Lyon not ruling out Fekir move in January
A January move could still be on the cards for Lyon’s Nabil Fekir, with Liverpool and Chelsea remaining interested in the French playmaker.
Liverpool came close to signing Fekir back in June after agreeing a fee for his services before a routine medical highlighted a long-standing knee problem and the Reds pulled out. Rumours abounded after the World Cup that the deal would be resurrected but nothing materialised; according to Express Sport, Chelsea also held talks with the French club over Fekir before the close of the English transfer window.

Lyon chairman and owner Jean-Michel Aulas has always been very open about Fekir’s situation, and has now suggested that he may still be available in January, stating:
“We will have to wait until the end of the transfer window. But he will stay, at 95 per cent.
Liverpool have already spent £170m this summer on Fabinho, Keita, Shaqiri and Alisson, so it remains to be seen whether or not they’ll come back for Fekir in the January transfer window.
