Martin Keown impressed with Joe Gomez’s performance against Leicester

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown was very impressed with Joe Gomez’s performance against Leicester City yesterday.

Gomez has had a solid start to the season starting alongside Virgil van Dijk in the heart of Liverpool’s defence, and he continued his good form in Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Leicester City yesterday.

Keown was full of praise for the Englishman claiming he had a better game than Van Dijk.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Keown said: “He is a real talent, Gary. Today he was better than Van Dijk and that is some compliment to him. A real talent.
