Divock Origi wanted by multiple clubs

Divock Origi in action for VfL Wolfsburg

Divock Origi is a man in demand, according to various reports.

The Belgian forward, who appears to no longer be part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans at Liverpool, has caught the eye of Wolves, Juventus and Besiktas as all three clubs consider a swoop for the 23-year-old.

Wolves enquired about Origi in the summer but were put off by his £20million price tag. However, the Wolves bosses believe that Origi’s lack of game time at Anfield could result in the Reds lowering their valuation, and hope to meet with Liverpool officials in the coming weeks to thrash out a deal, according to Express and Star.

Reports also suggest that Serie A leaders Juventus may make a move for Origi as they seek to freshen up their aging forward line, which currently features 33-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo and 32-year-old Mario Mandzukic. AC Milan are also reportedly interested in Origi.

Somewhat bizarrely, Turkish side Besiktas are weighing up a deal for Origi that involves Loris Karius heading back to Anfield, according to the Daily Star.

The German goalkeeper joined the club on a two-year loan deal in the summer after his errors effectively cost Liverpool the Champions League trophy in Kiev, and he has so far failed to impress for Besiktas after making similar mistakes in several games already this season.

It is highly unlikely, however, that Liverpool would be interested in swapping Origi, who has scored 21 goals in 77 appearances for the Reds, for Karius, especially with Alisson performing so well and Simon Mignolet acting as an able deputy.

Origi recently spoke about his situation, revealing that he remains focused on simply doing his best for his club.

“At 23 I have big ambitions but for me it’s just about focusing on the here and now and driving on as much as possible and hopefully let my feet talk on the pitch.

“I just hope for the best in everything and know that whenever I can shine my light it is a positive for everyone: for the club, for me, for the game that I am trying to impact… so I am really focusing on that.”
