Liverpool on alert after Ousmane Dembele told he can leave Barcelona
Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele has been told that he can leave the club after falling out of favour with the La Liga leaders, according to the Mirror.
A host of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, have maintained a long-standing interest in Dembele, and have now been given encouragement by Barcelona in their pursuit of the winger.
The 21-year-old was benched for Barcelona’s match against Inter Milan last week in the Champions League, which was at the time attributed to him arriving 25 minutes late to a team meeting.

However, RAC1 reported shortly afterwards that Dembele has now been told he can leave as early as January, despite only joining the Spanish giants two years ago from Borussia Dortmund for £105million.
Arsenal and Chelsea will hope that some of their current players, such as Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Olivier Giroud respectively, will hold some sway in Dembele’s eventual decision.
But Liverpool remain the only club out of the three potential suitors who can offer Dembele Champions League football, and the prospect of working under Jurgen Klopp is often too tantalising for players to pass up.
Dembele would undoubtedly further enrich Liverpool’s already prolific attacking setup, though who he would displace in the starting XI would be a matter for much debate.
