Halloween visit to Alder Hey for LFC U18s

Liverpool U18s made a heartwarming visit to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital this week to meet patients and deliver gifts.

Barry Lewtas’ squad visited the hospital in West Derby to celebrate Halloween with youngsters at the base.

Speaking to liverpoolfc.com, U18 midfielder, Elijah Dixon-Bonner said: “It is a real honour to be able to visit the kids and cheer them up by handing over gifts and signing some autographs.

“With Christmas fast approaching, it is a really difficult time for them to be in hospital but the children continue to show real bravery and positivity as they look to overcome illness.”

Gill Kennedy, from Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, said: “It was a pleasure to host another visit from the U18 LFC squad. The boys spent time talking to patients and families and even got involved with our Halloween-themed art workshop.

“Thank you to everyone involved for taking the time out of their busy schedules, we look forward to seeing the players again at Christmas.”
