TAA: ‘I’ve been put down the right path so far and hopefully I’ll keep going’

It will be two years to the day since Trent Alexander-Arnold made his senior debut for Liverpool.

A midweek clash against Tottenham Hotspur, a game in which the Reds won 2-1 at Anfield, was Alexander-Arnold’s first-team bow.

Since October 25, 2016, there have been a further 53 first team outings for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

In that time there has been a Champions League final, a full international debut and there has also been a sensational rise into the England ranks at the 2018 World Cup.

When asked if he would have believed the last 24 month would’ve entailed, he said: “I’m not sure I’d have believed them! I probably would’ve told them they were a bit crazy, but obviously these things happen and I’m grateful for the opportunities and the mentorship that I’ve been given,” he said.

“I’ve been put down the right path so far and hopefully I’ll keep going. I’ll keep working hard and hopefully there’s many more milestones to come.

“It’s something that I enjoy and it’s something that I’m proud of: to be able to say that I play for Liverpool Football Club. It’s something that I want to carry on saying for as long as I can.”
