Klopp believes “big things are still possible” in Europe this season
Jurgen Klopp believes “big things are still possible” for Liverpool in Europe as the Reds boss celebrates the three-year anniversary of his first European victory as Liverpool boss.
Liverpool beat Rubin Kazan 1-0 in Russia o November 5, 2015, and went on to finish runner-up to Sevilla in the Europa League final that season.
The Reds’ soon returned to the top table of European football and came agonisingly close to winning the Champions League in May 2018, falling just short.

But now, sitting third in the Premier League (level with second-placed Chelsea) after an unbeaten start and top of Champions League Group C, Klopp is justifiably feeling hopeful again.
“We made a few miles since then!” Klopp said of his European anniversary with Liverpool, as quoted on LiverpoolFC.com.
“It was an intense start and from then on it went quite well.
“So far when we were involved in a European competition we were in the final – let’s carry on like this… or try!
“It’s getting more and more difficult but big things are still possible. So far it was absolutely OK, it was really interesting.
“If we would have won both finals, that would have been a thing!
“But the world is like this; you judge it because you won or lost one game. If you lose earlier, it’s not that dramatic. It’s all good, we’ll try again.”
Liverpool take on Red Star Belgrade tonight from 5:55pm in the Champions League.
