Solanke secures brace for England U21 against Italy

Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke was on target with two goals as England Under-21s beat Italy in Thursday night’s friendly.
The 21-year-old hasn’t been rewarded with much game time for the Reds since his move to Liverpool in summer 2017 – representing the senior national side once last November.
The forward has yet to make a first-team appearance for Liverpool this season.

Solanke put the Young Lions ahead in the eighth minute, and despite Itlay pulling one back before the break, the young Lions striker restored the lead for England just eight minutes after the restart.
England have already qualified for next summer’s U21 European Championships.
