Steven Gerrard delighted with Make Us Dream documentary
Steven Gerrard has said that he is delighted with how his new documentary, Make Us Dream, has turned out.
The biopic in Gerrard’s opinion was closure on his playing career as he has entered the next phase in his life going into management.
The story looks into Gerrard’s career from when he was a young boy to his final days in professional football as a player, exploring both the highs and the lows.
The documentary was put together from those who produced the Amy Winehouse and Ayrton Senna documentaries, which Gerrard admitted helped in making a decision whether he wanted to make this film.
“I only made the documentary for one reason and that was the people who asked me to do it,” Gerrard said, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

“I’d watched the Amy and Senna documentaries and they’ve gone on to win an Oscar. I was fascinated to see what they could do because I didn’t even know there was a story there.
“They’ve done a fantastic job and, hopefully, the fans enjoy it but it’s time to move on now. Now it’s out there, my job’s done and it draws a line under my playing career.
“That was about me as a player. Now I have to go and try to make a name for myself as a manager.”
