Klopp won’t let Liverpool become complacent, says Wijnaldum

Jurgen Klopp won’t let Liverpool players become complacent in their title challenge, says Gini Wijnaldum.

Liverpool top the Premier League table after 19 games and remain unbeaten. Ahead of back to back games against Arsenal and Manchester City, Wijnaldum has said the Reds are not growing complacent.

With just seven goals conceded in the league this season, Liverpool’s defensive record this campaign has been first rate and Klopp is not going to let his players drop their standards.

“We were just focused on our own game and trying to get the most out of that one. That is why it goes so well.

“If you are maybe less focused than normal, then you have a manager in Jurgen who will tell you directly that there is no space for doing less or enjoying things too much. He says keep both feet on the ground.”
