Ovie Ejaria could be on his way back to Liverpool from Rangers

Ovie Ejaria could be in line for a shock return to Liverpool from his season-long loan arrangement at Rangers, reports claim.

The Daily Record suggest that the former Arsenal man has grown ‘disillusioned with the rough and tumble of the Scottish game’, and has held talks with Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.

Gerrard admitted following the Gers’ defeat to Rapid Vienna that he had spoken with Ejaria, claiming he’s “slightly unsettled”.

The Liverpool legend says the plan is to speak to the 21-year-old again on Friday.

He said: “The next time I see Ovie is on Friday. We’ll have a conversation then and see where we go from there. Liverpool are aware of the situation and we’re in dialogue with them.”

Ejaria seems to have taken the early steps of moving on, deleting his Twitter profile as well as removing all traces of Rangers from his Instagram account.

He does, however, still follow manager Steven Gerrard, as well as fellow loanee Ryan Kent, and a number of his Ranger teammates.

The England under-21 star has made 28 appearances in all competitions for Rangers during his loan spell, with all but five of those coming from the start.
