Liverpool told they will have to pay £87million to sign thrilling forward
Bundesliga expert Raphael Honigstein believes that Liverpool and Bayern Munich will need to offer RB Leipzig €100million (£87m) to secure the German forward’s signature this summer.
Liverpool and Bayern Munich are set to lock horns in the UEFA Champions League in a matter of weeks in a huge tie but are apparently already embroiled in an off-the-pitch battle for one of Europe’s hottest talents in Timo Werner.
The German has scored 21 goals for RB Leipzig in each of his last two seasons and with 13 strikes in 22 appearances this season, he is on course to continue his fine goalscoring form for the Bundesliga outfit.

Speaking to ESPN, Raphael Honigstein says that he believes that Liverpool and Bayern will need to be prepared to spend €100million (£87m) to sign Werner this summer.
He said: “I’m not sure I’ve got the answer. I think he’s still most likely to stay at Leipzig at this point.
“I think Bayern and Liverpool are keeping him on the stove, keeping him warm, to see if they want to make a big move.
“What’s happened is Leipzig have told him to hurry up and make up his mind. I’m thinking if he’d already got something lined up Leipzig would know by now.
“It seems as if things are going on but there’s perhaps not quite that demand for a player who is going to command almost €100m in fees.
“So I think he might still stay.”
