Liverpool handed Mohamed Salah boost in Premier League title race
Liverpool won’t have to let Mohamed Salah go during the March international break as the Egyptian FA has confirmed that it will not call the forward up for AFCON qualifiers against Nigeria and the Niger Republic.
The 26-year-old is the leading goalscorer in the league this season and whenever he or any of his teammates depart for international duty, Jurgen Klopp must be fraught with concern that they might return injured.
As it is, the Egyptian won’t be a concern of his in this manner during March.

Vice president of the Egyptian FA, Ahmed Shobier, told King Fut, via the Liverpool Echo: “Mohamed Salah will not play the Niger game in the AFCON qualifiers or the Nigeria friendly.
“Ahmed Hegazi will probably also be left out of the squad.”
Liverpool are currently tied on points with Manchester City but second on goal difference. The Reds do, however, have a game in hand which means they will need to hope Chelsea take points off City this weekend to go back to the top.
