Spanish outfit eyes summer swoop for Liverpool striker

Daniel Sturridge could move to Real Betis this summer as the Englishman looks to find a transfer that can grant him more playing time.

The talented Englishman’s contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season and it looks unlikely that he will sign a new deal.

France Football – via Sport Witness – claim that Liverpool want to offer him a new deal but he would prefer a move overseas.

Betis are ‘ready’ to make a move for Sturridge this summer and with the 29-year-old free to leave without the need for a transfer fee, it shouldn’t be an overly difficult transfer to organise.

It’s disappointing to see how his career at Liverpool has panned out as injury after injury has robbed him of his pace and ability to go beyond defenders.

Hopefully, the Reds can win the Premier League this season and send him out on a high as his efforts during the 2013/14 season alongside Luis Suarez were deserving of a league medal.
