Alberto Moreno on brink of Lazio agreement

Alberto Moreno is closing in on a move to Italian club Lazio, with a pre-contract agreement almost in place, according to reports.

After the left-back was pictured in Rome with former team-mate Lucas Leiva, rumours have quickly circulated that he’s in the process of finalising a move away from Liverpool in June.

The 26-year-old joined the Reds in 2014 for £12million under Brendan Rodgers, but become an object of derision for his poor defensive decisions – he has featured just five times this season.

Jurgen Klopp prefers Andy Robertson and James Milner in the left-back position, in spite of the fact that Milner’s favoured role is in midfield.

Moreno will team up with former Liverpool player Luis Alberto if he joins Lazio.
