Ferdinand expects Liverpool to progress to semi-finals

Rio Ferdinand believes Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham will all progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League this season, according to Metro.

The former United player saw his old side beaten 1-0 at Old Trafford last night, but he thinks they will overturn the result at the Nou Camp.

And he’s convinced that Liverpool, Spurs and Juventus will make up the remaining semi-finalists.

‘Liverpool will go through. Spurs will go through after last night. Juventus will go through,” said Ferdinand.

‘And my heart says Man United will go through. My head? Depends which (Lionel) Messi turns up.’
