Neville links “outstanding” Mane and Salah with La Liga moves
Gary Neville believes Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane would be top of Real Madrid and Barcelona’s wish lists should they ever be allowed to leave Anfield.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, Neville discussed the role of wingers in modern day football.
And he thinks Salah and Mane, as well as Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane, would all be of interest to the Spanish giants.

“They’re the most devastating [wingers] when it comes to goalscoring,” said Neville.
“Actually I used to think if you’ve got a wide player who got a chance, he wouldn’t always take it. These are finishers, they’re goalscorers.
“So for me, the game’s changed a lot in the last 10 years. Wide players now are not wingers anymore, they are more often than not wide forwards, three attackers, although Manchester City’s wide players do play as wingers when they’re on the ball.
“But we are seeing absolute devastation. The biggest compliment I can pay that Real Madrid and Barcelona would want all four of them tomorrow. And usually what they’d do is pick the next best players in the world.
“I think Salah, Mane, Sterling, Sane, you could probably add Bernardo Silva to that from Barcelona’s point of view, you could probably put those five into a pot and Barcelona and Real Madrid, who have always plucked the best players out of our country, would take every single one of them tomorrow, because they’re outstanding.”
