Reds striker could make Australia switch in the summer

Daniel Sturridge could be on his way to Australia in the summer, according to reports today.

Murray Shaw, Executive Producer of Fox Sports, claims that Sturridge could be a transfer target for several Australian A-League clubs.

The Liverpool striker is set to leave Anfield at the end of the season after dropping behind Divock Origi in the pecking order.

And according to Shaw, who spoke about the 29-year-old on Fox Football Podcast, Robbie Fowler’s Brisbane Rovers could be a potential destination for the England international:

“One player I will throw up, and I know that this player has been offered to several A-League clubs already for next season, is Daniel Sturridge,” said Shaw.

“I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the phone call is made from Robbie Fowler to bring someone like Daniel Sturridge down as a marquee player for next season.”
