Klopp reveals his thoughts on Xherdan Shaqiri this season
Jurgen Klopp has moved to put an end to speculation linking Xherdan Shaqiri with a transfer away from Liverpool this summer, according to the Express.
The Swiss international started strongly at Anfield after his £13.5million transfer from Stoke but has started just one Premier League game since January 30.
Klopp, however, insists that the 27-year-old remains an important part of his squad.

Looking at a photograph of young Shaqiri during a feature for Viasport, Klopp said: “I think he’s from Switzerland. That must be Shaq.
“What a wonderful player, what a wonderful ambassador for his country. So I’m really happy to have him around.
“I know people think I didn’t play him around often enough. He thinks probably the same.
“But what an important player for us all the season.”
Shaqiri will no doubt hope to play a part in Saturday’s Champions League final, though he isn’t expected to start the match.
