Liverpool forward pondering contract extension while on holiday

Divock Origi is mulling over a new contract offer from Liverpool while on holiday, according to journalist Kristof Terreur.

In a tweet, the Het Laatste Nieuws reporter revealed that the Liverpool striker currently has a lucrative new deal on the table.

Origi’s representatives held talks with the club just before the 24-year-old Belgian went off on holiday, with Liverpool confident the Champions League hero will agree to an extension upon his return.

Terreur tweeted: “Liverpool and Divock Origi’s people had positive talks about a new contract just before the player went on holiday.

“There’s a good contract offer on the table now. Up to the player to take a decision when he returns from holiday.

The ball is now firmly in Origi’s court, with reports suggesting the striker is leaning towards extending his stay at Anfield amid interest from La Liga and the Premier League.
