Manchester City-linked Bruno Fernandes prefers Liverpool’s style

Bruno Fernandes, a player long linked with a move to Manchester City, has revealed that he would prefer to join Liverpool this summer, according to the Mirror.

The 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder claims he likes the way Jurgen Klopp’s side play and enjoys the intensity of their football.

“I like Liverpool a lot more [than Man City],” Fernandes said.

“It’s a more direct [style of play], more offensive, maybe less organised, but more intense football.

“City, without the ball, has the intensity of the eleven, and can in a moment of pressure put the [opposing] team in a corner and end up stealing the ball.

“In Liverpool they are more individual players, especially in the midfield, usually playing three very aggressive players and recovering the ball.”

Fernandes has scored 20 goals and notched 13 assists for Sporting Lisbon this season, for whom he signed from Sampdoria in 2016 for €8.5million.
