Rafael Camacho set for Sporting return in the “coming hours”

Rafael Camacho’s transfer away from Liverpool is practically complete, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola via SportWitness.

The 19-year-old is set to leave Anfield this summer in search of regular first-team football, with Sporting Lisbon ready to grant his wish.

A Bola claim the versatile Portuguese player could make a return to his hometown in the “coming hours”, with a deal expected to be done today, or by the weekend at the latest.

Camacho rejected the chance to join Schalke in favour of a move back to Sporting, where he began his career.

He is expected to pen a five-year deal with the Portuguese side, with Liverpool set to receive less than the €10million they had originally wanted for him.

The Reds will accept payment for Camacho in instalments and are likely to receive a percentage of any sell-on fee.
