Official: Liverpool to Face Man United as FA Cup Draws Fourth & Fifth Rounds
The winner will face Stockport County, West Ham, or Doncaster Rovers in the fifth round.
As a reward for beating Aston Villa’s youngsters on Friday, Liverpool ensured at least one more match in the 2021 edition of the FA Cup, and today’s drawing of the fourth and fifth round matchups let Jürgen Klopp know who his side would face.
Liverpool’s fourth round opponents will be none other than historic league rivals Manchester United, with the Reds travelling to Old Trafford for their match against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils.
Their fourth round FA Cup tie will be played the week of January 23rd, which for Liverpool puts it between a pair of league games against Burnley and Tottenham. For United, it will be between games against Fulham and Sheffield United.
The winner of that game will then go on to host Stockport County, West Ham, or Doncaster Rovers in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
That fifth round tie will be played the week of February 10th, which for Liverpool lands it between potential season-defining games against Manchester City and Leicester, and is the week before they return to Europe with the first leg of their Round of 16 Champions League tie against RB Leipzig.
