Reds linked with summer move for Christian Erkisen

Liverpool have been linked with a transfer move for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen in the wake of their Champions League final victory on Saturday.

The Reds beat Spurs 2-0 in Madrid courtesy of goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi, despite Tottenham largely dominating the game.

And the possibility of Jurgen Klopp raiding the beaten finalists for one of their prize assets has now been mooted by ex-Tottenham player and current Sky Sports pundit Jamie O’Hara.

O’Hara made the claim during a Sky Sports broadcast today, suggesting that Liverpool could move for the Danish playmaker, who has just one year left on his contract.

Eriksen has been a key component of Mauricio Pochettino’s team for a number of years and came closest to scoring in Saturday’s final, only to be denied by Alisson Becker.

Whether or not Liverpool would be interested in signing Eriksen remains to be seen, though it’s unlikely Spurs would sanction the move even if Klopp made an approach.

They may, however, be forced to consider selling the Dane to avoid losing him for free next summer.
