Andy Robertson Undergoes Minor Hand Surgery

The procedure will not keep him from joining the pre-season tour.
On Saturday, the club announced that left-back Andy Robertson underwent a minor surgery to fix an infection on his hand. The Scottish international reported into Melwood along with fellow first string teams Jordan Henderson, Virgil van Dijk, Gini Wijnaldum, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, but will be unable to take part in any training for the time being.
The team’s next friendly is on Sunday against League Two side Bradford FC. Robertson is expected to sit out that game. He will, however, be heading off to the United States with the rest of the team for the pre-season tour.
The club don’t believe his injury is serious and seem confident that he’ll be available to Klopp when they take on Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, and Sporting CP.
With fans already missing out on seeing Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Alisson Becker, and Xherdan Shaqiri on the tour, they’ll be happy not to add favorite Robertson to the list.
