Liverpool 3, Arsenal 1: Man of the Match

With a decisive victory in the books over a top four contender, we want you to rate Liverpool’s players and choose your man of the match.
Well that was fun. Liverpool controlled things early on, but it took a Joël Matip header to open the scoring at the end of the first half. Once the second half started, Liverpool ran rampant. If not for a late Arsenal goal, it would have been a perfect game. Roberto Firmino is probably a wizard. Mohamed Salah scored a quintessential Mo Salah goal after already scoring an emphatic penalty kick. Fabinho pulled the strings from a nominally deeper roll, and did a fantastic job snuffing out counters before they could really get going. Matip, beyond scoring the opening goal, provided some fantastic defensive moments to shut down Arsenal counters in dangerous positions.
Now let us know how you saw it. With our usual polling tool out of service, we’re instead giving you a choice between a few of the players we thought looked best today for the Reds, so make your choice below and vote for who you think should be the man of the match—or take to the comments to let us know that we got it wrong by leaving the real man of the match off the list entirely.
And as always, anyone visiting on Apple News or Google AMP who wish to vote and can’t see the poll can make it visible by navigating to the front page of The Liverpool Offside and re-entering the story.
