The injured Liverpool goalkeeper is nearing a return to full training.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker continues to train individually, but word today has the Brazilian close to being cleared to re-join training with his teammates, setting up a likely timeline for a return to action.

According to The Liverpool Echo and others, there is no thought of Alisson being ready for this weekend’s league game against Leicester City—and certainly not Wednesday against RB Salzburg in the Champions League.

However, with it likely that he will be back in training with his teammates by the weekend, it could set up a potential return to action following the October international break that arrives after Leicester.

That could mean that Alisson will be in line for his first start of the season against Manchester United on the 20th—a potential boost for Liverpool in their first derby of the season against their struggling red rivals.

Any need to rush him back, though, has been minimised by the stellar play of summer signing Adrian, who has more than proven his worth backstopping the Reds to a perfect start in the league.
