Joe Gomez shows free kick quality in FIFA 20 video

Liverpool hosted the F2 Freestylers at Melwood for a promotional video with EA Sports for the upcoming release of their new FIFA 20 game.

Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Xherdan Shaqiri and Roberto Firmino all took part in the video while Virgil van Dijk featured momentarily before legging it off the training pitch.

TAA is well known for his free-kick ability and has a (rather low) free kick rating on FIFA 20 of 80 while Gomez, who has admittedly never taken a free-kick for the Reds, has a free-kick accuracy score of just 29.

Yet it was the former Charlton Athletic star and not Trent that starred in the video, whipping five out of five free-kicks into the back of the net while his younger teammate scored just one.

In the past, a lot of fans expressed a desire to see Virgil van Dijk take free-kicks after his exploits in Scotland with Celtic but maybe after this video it will be Gomez being tipped to become the Reds’ new free-kick taker.
